2. Do I need any special travel documents? Can I enter Canada with a DUI?

Everyone will need to present an accepted form of identification to board the ship. We strongly recommend that all guests present a passport as their form of ID on boarding day, and for some guests a passport is required.The passport must be valid for six months after the day your cruise ends. The name on your passport should match the name on your reservation.While some other forms of ID may be accepted for your cruise, a passport is the very best option and here’s why:A passport is the hassle-free, gold standard for traveling between countries.Boarding and disembarking through customs with a passport is usually faster than other types of ID documents.If you have an issue while exploring a foreign port (such as missing the ship), it’s best to have a passport with you.Guests who do not bring required documents may be denied boarding.If you are not flying, please contact our travel advisors for more information.Entering Canada with a DUI offense:Canada may or may not allow persons with DUI convictions to enter their country. 3.  Are meals and beverages included in my vacation package?

Onboard the Ship: All main meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) in complimentary dining venues like the Main Dining Room and Oceanview Cafe are included in your fare. Beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic bar drinks, gourmet coffee teas, fresh squeezed juices, and bottled water are not included)
Specific Tours: Select pre-arranged excursions or specific rail segments (such as the Wilderness Express) may include a meal or snack if explicitly stated in your exact day-by-day itinerary. What Meals Are Not Included?Land Stays: Meals and beverages at hotels, wilderness lodges, and restaurants during the land-tour portion (such as trips to Denali) are typically your own responsibility and cost extra.

4.  What accommodations are included with my journey?

During the land-tour portion of the trip, arrangements are made for you to stay in comfortable, regional-style hotels and wilderness lodges located within the itinerary.While onboard the ship, you have a choice of ship accommodations, from suites, veranda staterooms, ocean view staterooms (non-opening window), or inside (no window) staterooms.

Yes! There are several ways you can customize the trip to suit your needs. You can add additional hotel nights before or after the cruise tour dates begin and end.You will have your choice of many shore excursions during the cruise. Shore excursions are not included in the package.Please let your travel advisor know if you want to see or do something in particular. We try to make your dreams come true!

Arrival and departure airport transportation is not included, but may be able to be added to your package. Purchasing flights from the cruise line allows you to take advantage of complimentary airport transporation at your destinationsOther transportation is as outlined in the day-by-day itinerary.

8. How much luggage can I bring?

The cruise line does not limit the amount of luggage you can bring on the ship. The amount of luggage and the size of the bag is limited during the land portion of the trip. Large luggage bags are not allowed during the land tour because of limited transport space. Large bags will be sent onward to meet you on the ship. Smaller overnight bags are acceptable during the land tour.There are always airline restrictions on the amount, size and weight of luggage you bring on an airplane. Because of increased jet fuel costs, airlines have restrictions for their passengers. Each airline is different. Contact your airline for more information.AIRLINES and CHECKED LUGGAGE: Due to space limitations during your tour, we ask that you please limit your checked luggage to one average-size suitcase per person. Besides complying with the tour restriction noted above, you should also be sure to research and comply with all airline baggage restrictions relating to your flights to and from your journey. Airlines have become much more strict in enforcing size and weight limits in recent years, and are free to revise luggage policies without notice. Researching and complying with airline luggage restrictions is the responsibility of the guest, and the tour company cannot be held responsible for any costs or disruptions to travel caused by the failure to research and comply with airline policies. Special Luggage Restrictions for this TourThe U.S. TSA has instituted standardized screening procedures at airports across the U.S. At some airports, this procedure is handled manually and will be time-consuming. Please be aware that you will not have access to your bags after they are screened; therefore, you should remove everything that you may want to take on the plane with you before you hand over your checked bag for screening.Checked Luggage – GeneralDue to space restrictions, we ask that you please limit your checked luggage to one suitcase per person weighing no more than 50 pounds (23 kg) and with overall dimensions (length + width + height) not exceeding 62 inches (158 cm).Besides complying with the tour restriction noted above, you should also be sure to research and comply with all airline baggage restrictions relating to your flights to and from your tour. Most modern sightseeing motor coaches offer limited space for numerous or larger items. Space under seats or in the overhead rack is typically small, and designed to accommodate items like coats, hats, purses, and small camera bags, etc.For your day-to-day travel while on tour, we recommend that you limit your hand luggage to a small, soft-sided carry-on piece, and that you bring only those items you need handy during the day such as make-up, medications, cameras, film, etc. Items too large to fit under the motor coach seat or on the overhead rack must be stored in the luggage bays beneath the motor coach, and may be inaccessible during daytime travel.
